Dear Colleagues:
Take this opportunity now to make
Turnitin.com part of your teaching this coming semester. During the Fall
2008 Flex Week, Staff Development is sponsoring an advanced and introductory training
workshop for current and new users of Turnitin.com.
Faculty,
counselors, staff, and administrators who attend the Turnitin training
session will receive a user account, help in setting up a class account and
assignments,
and information on how to access training videos, Quickstart guides, and
user manuals.
What Is Turnitin.com?
Simply, Turnitin is
a website tool that evaluates the degree of originality in your students'
writing. It also is a pragmatic teaching tool for showing students how
to document their source material correctly and for encouraging academic
integrity.
Reserve your a seat in 1
of these 2 workshops by contacting Wendy Bailey

At the
Turnitin Resource Center website, a wealth of information and training
materials exists to help both instructors and students use the online tool. In addition to these resources, the website also provides faculty and
students with pragmatic instructional tools on documentation styles and with
discussions on the ethics of academic honesty.
Have a great semester!
