Welcome to the Turnitin
Resource and Support Center Website.
Part of the recent institutionalization of
Turnitin on our campus involves funding a coordinator to administer the site license and
to train faculty. Everyone is encouraged to take advantage of both of
these web and coordinator resources.
This site's mission is to provide the
campus community with help in using the Turnitin.com website by implementing
it into their courses. Both
faculty and students will find this site useful. If you have suggestions
that would benefit the wider campus community, please
email them to Darren Chiang-Schultheiss.
What Is Turnitin.com?
Simply, Turnitin is
a website tool that detects the degree of originality in your students'
writing. It also is a pragmatic teaching tool for showing students how
to document their source material correctly.

Training Workshops |

Though you may have missed an intro training workshop
during Flex Week, more workshops will be available throughout the
semester.
Please check back periodically or look for an
e-newsletter announcing any upcoming workshops.
Also, if you would like to request a one-on-one workshop,
send
Darren Chiang-Schultheiss an email to set up a mutually convenient
time to meet either in your office or in the Teaching Effectiveness
Center (TEC), room 800 on the west side of the Library Learning and
Resource Center. |
|
Faculty, counselors, staff, and administrators who attend the Turnitin
training sessions will receive a user account, help in setting up a
class account, and information on how to access training videos,
Quickstart guides, and user manuals. |
